    The Belgian Coalition Stop Uranium Wapens has launched a a letter writing campaign to persuade Foreign Minister Karel de Gucht to support the new resolution on uranium weapons currently passing through the United Nations. Last December Belgium abstained in the General Assembly vote, in spite of their domestic ban on uranium weapons.

    Write to Your Foreign Minister Today

    ICBUW urgently needs your help in persuading your government to support a new resolution at the UN First Committee. The resolution is a continuation of the process started last November when a vast majority of states backed a resolution highlighting concerns over the health and environmental effects of uranium weapons.
