Day of Action vigil at US Air Force base
Date: November 5
Time: 7 to 8 a.m.
Location: Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Craycroft Road entrance (at Golf Links Road), Tucson, Arizona.
Why protest at Davis-Monthan AFB?
DEPLETED URANIUM:
Belgium banned the use of uranium weapons but the Pentagon still refuses to help the people of Iraq by disclosing where A-10 warplanes from Davis-Monthan and other bases fired over 400 tons of radioactive depleted uranium ammunition during the invasions of 1991 and 2003. Where's the Depleted Uranium?
DRONES:
UAV's (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) are being piloted over Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan and their weapons being fired by Air National Guard troops operating from Davis-Monthan AFB. Also known as drones, these weapons are responsible for more civilian than enemy deaths. Ground the Drones!
